LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Immediate Past Lieutenant Governor Kim
Scharoff for her distinguished service to the Long Island South Central
Division of Kiwanis on March 5, 2012

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend those individuals who have given of themselves in support of the
good works and worthy accomplishments of organizations dedicated to
fellowship and service to the community; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Immediate Past Lieutenant Governor Kim Scharoff for her distinguished
service to the Long Island South Central Division of Kiwanis, to be
celebrated at a Testimonial Reception held in her honor at Chateau
Briand, Carle Place, New York, on Monday, March 5, 2012; and
WHEREAS, Kiwanis International is a global organization of volunteers
dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time;
and
WHEREAS, Immediate Past Lieutenant Governor Kim Scharoff has shown
tremendous support as well as donated an enormous amount of her time to
help serve the children of the world and others by using her leadership
in many ways; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of her community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Kim Scharoff has stood constant in
dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Kim Scharoff has displayed through-
out her life; and
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Immediate Past Lieutenant Governor Kim Scharoff for her distin-
guished service to the Long Island South Central Division of Kiwanis on
March 5, 2012; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Kim Scharoff.
