LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Kelly Boamah upon the occasion of
receiving a 2012 Scholarship Award from the Major General Irene
Trowell-Harris Chapter of Tuskegee Airmen, Inc.

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to honor the young
adults of today and leaders of tomorrow whose character and achievements
best exemplify the ideals and values cherished by this great State and
Nation; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Kelly Boamah upon the occasion of receiving a 2012 Scholarship Award
from the Major General Irene Trowell-Harris Chapter of Tuskegee Airmen,
Inc.; and
WHEREAS, A student at Newburgh Free Academy in Newburgh, New York,
Kelly Boamah came to the United States from Ghana at the age of 13; and
WHEREAS, Kelly Boamah has excelled in chemistry and is enrolled in a
number of advanced-placement courses; he plans on going to college to
become a pharmacist, then a pediatrician, and ultimately to follow his
dream of establishing a series of hospitals around the world; and
WHEREAS, Throughout his high school career, Kelly Boamah has displayed
exceptional academic achievement, a strong sense of community responsi-
bility, and a commitment to excellence which is unparalleled; and
WHEREAS, Kelly Boamah, in achieving this academic honor, may take just
pride in the inspiration and contribution to the spirit of excellence he
brings to his family, friends, community and school; now, therefore, be
it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Kelly Boamah upon the occasion of receiving a 2012 Scholarship
Award from the Major General Irene Trowell-Harris Chapter of Tuskegee
Airmen, Inc., and to extend to him best wishes for a future of purpose-
ful success and well-being; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Kelly Boamah.
