LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Charles Montana, Jr. upon the occasion
of receiving the Dick Evers Award from the Hicksville Community Council

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those individ-
uals who would devote themselves to the welfare of the community and its
citizenry; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Charles Monta-
na, Jr. upon the occasion of receiving the Dick Evers Award from the
Hicksville Community Council, to be celebrated at its 42nd Anniversary
Dinner on Wednesday, April 4, 2012; and
WHEREAS, Charles Montana has been called upon to contribute his time
and talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has always
given of himself unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, Charles Montana has given more than his share of time towards
the Hicksville community through his efforts with the Hicksville Chamber
of Commerce, the Hicksville Community Council and the Kiwanis Club of
Hicksville; and
WHEREAS, For many years Charles Montana has dedicated numerous hours
to the betterment of Hicksville; he is truly deserving of this meritori-
ous honor; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Charles Montana has stood constant
in dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Charles Montana has displayed
throughout his life; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Charles Montana, Jr. upon the occasion of receiving the Dick Evers
Award from the Hicksville Community Council; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Charles Montana, Jr..
