LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring A. Vincent Mazzie for his dedicated
service to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties, Inc.

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to call attention to
those esteemed residents of the State of New York who dedicate their
lives to the improvement of their communities; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor A.
Vincent Mazzie for his dedicated service to Hospice of Orange and Sulli-
van Counties, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, A. Vincent Mazzie will be honored by Hospice at its On the
Wings of Spring Gala on Saturday, March 31, 2012, at Anthony's Pier 9,
New Windsor, New York; and
WHEREAS, The Senior Director of Investments for Oppenheimer & Company,
A. Vincent Mazzie has been affiliated with Hospice of Orange and Sulli-
van Counties, Inc. since 1986; he is a current member of the Hospice's
Board of Directors and is the immediate Past Chairman of the Board; and
WHEREAS, A. Vincent Mazzie has been called upon to contribute his time
and talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has always
given of himself unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his community service, a
period of constructive involvement, A. Vincent Mazzie has stood constant
in dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which A. Vincent Mazzie has displayed
throughout his life; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor A. Vincent Mazzie for his dedicated service to Hospice of Orange
and Sullivan Counties, Inc.; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to A. Vincent Mazzie.
