LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Diana Hilaire upon the occasion of her
designation as Soror of the Year by Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Delta
Beta Zeta Chapter of Queens, New York

WHEREAS, Diana Hilaire has given not only of her time and energies but
also of her competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently has
been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Diana Hilaire
upon the occasion of her designation as Soror of the Year by Zeta Phi
Beta Sorority, Inc., Delta Beta Zeta Chapter of Queens, New York, on
Friday, May 18, 2012; and
WHEREAS, Chartered on May 19, 1957 in Queens, New York, Zeta Phi Beta
Sorority, Inc. is celebrating their 55th Anniversary along with recog-
nizing its honorees for their years of exemplary service; the theme for
this event is: "Honoring Our Past, Celebrating The Accomplishments of
Our Present and Envisioning Our Future"; and
WHEREAS, Diana Hilaire has been called upon to contribute her time and
talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has always given
of herself unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of her community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Diana Hilaire has stood constant in
dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Diana Hilaire has displayed through-
out her life; she is a true asset to society; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Diana Hilaire upon the occasion of her designation as Soror of the
Year by Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Delta Beta Zeta Chapter of Queens,
New York; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Diana Hilaire.
