LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending the Tri-Village Rod & Gun Club of
Valatie, New York, upon the occasion of celebrating its 60th Annual
Youth Day and 10th Annual Youth Fishing Derby

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those organiza-
tions and individuals that are devoted to the welfare of the community
and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
the Tri-Village Rod & Gun Club of Valatie, New York, upon the occasion
of celebrating its 60th Annual Youth Day and 10th Annual Youth Fishing
Derby; and
WHEREAS, A family oriented sports club dedicated to youth activities,
the mission of the Tri-Village Rod & Gun Club of Valatie, New York, is
to bring children into the world of wildlife and its sports; and
WHEREAS, On Saturday, June 9, 2012, the Tri-Village Rod & Gun Club of
Valatie, New York, will celebrate its 60th Annual Youth Day for children
ages four to 16 years of age; and
WHEREAS, The goal of the Tri-Village Rod & Gun Club's Youth Day is to
provide children from the community an opportunity to learn outdoor
activities and hone their skills; children will compete in a variety of
activities including archery, bait, and fly casting, BB rifle and pistol
and .22 rifle and trap shooting; and
WHEREAS, In addition, on Saturday, May 12, 2012, the Tri-Village Rod &
Gun Club of Valatie, New York, will hold its 10th Annual Youth Fishing
Derby; and
WHEREAS, These auspicious occasions present a unique opportunity for
this Legislative Body to recognize and pay tribute to the Tri-Village
Rod & Gun Club of Valatie, New York; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when an organ-
ization of such noble aims and accomplishments is brought to our atten-
tion, it should be recognized and applauded by all the citizens of this
great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend the Tri-Village Rod & Gun Club of Valatie, New York, upon the
occasion of celebrating its 60th Annual Youth Day and 10th Annual Youth
Fishing Derby; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the Tri-Village Rod & Gun Club, Valatie, New York.
