LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending John Westergreen upon the occasion of
being honored by the SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT in its 2012 Men at Work
edition

WHEREAS, Individuals who distinguish themselves in their profession and
in service to their community merit the recognition and appreciation of
this Legislative Body and the people of the State of New York; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern and fully in accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
John Westergreen, the Founder and Visionary of Main Street Farm, upon
the occasion of his designation for special recognition by the SULLIVAN
COUNTY DEMOCRAT in its 2012 Men at Work edition; and
WHEREAS, As the proprietor of Main Street Farm and Cafe in Livingston
Manor, New York, John Westergreen wears many hats and has many responsi-
bilities; and
WHEREAS, Main Street Farm offers locally grown and sourced foods
including seasonal organic vegetables, milk, eggs, American farmstead
cheese, fresh baked goods, meadow raised meats, free-range poultry,
general groceries, and flowers; and
WHEREAS, John Westergreen works diligently and may be justly proud of
bringing it all together, the best local foods from the area's farms,
farmers' markets, and food artisans at the convenience of the customer's
schedule; and
WHEREAS, John Westergreen's wife Elizabeth and their four year old
daughter, Natalie, are proud to be part of his life and rejoice in his
many accomplishments; and
WHEREAS, A valued and involved member of the community, John Wester-
green has served as President of the Chamber of Commerce and as a member
of many boards throughout Sullivan County; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have demonstrated a
long and sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in
their profession truly merit the recognition and appreciation of this
Legislative Body and the people of the State of New York; now, there-
fore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend John Westergreen upon the occasion of being honored by the
SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT in its 2012 Men at Work edition; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to John Westergreen.
