LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Parsons Brinckerhoff, Inc. upon
the occasion of receiving the Diamond Award for Excellence in the Cate-
gory of Special Projects by the American Council of Engineering Compa-
nies of New York

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend organizations of true purpose and worthy accomplishment which
through their endeavors, provide essential services and foster the high-
est level of professionalism; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to congratulate Parsons
Brinckerhoff, Inc. upon the occasion of receiving the Diamond Award for
Excellence in the Category of Special Projects by the American Council
of Engineering Companies of New York; and
WHEREAS, The 2012 Engineering Excellence Awards bestowed by the Ameri-
can Council of Engineering Companies of New York give awards to projects
that represent skill and innovation among New York's consulting engi-
neering firms; these organizations are also recognized for their
contributions to the community and the environment; and
WHEREAS, Parsons Brinckerhoff is a global consulting firm assisting
public and private clients to plan, develop, design, construct, operate
and maintain hundreds of critical infrastructure projects around the
world; and
WHEREAS, Parsons Brinckerhoff of New York City's project was for the
highway extension in the towns of Concord and Ashform, Erie and Catta-
raugus counties, which was opened to traffic in November 2010; the large
project included bridging Cattaraugus Creek and the Zoar Valley Gorge
and created a safe facility that would encourage economic development in
the Southern Tier and along the Route 219 corridor; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when organiza-
tions of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Parsons Brinckerhoff, Inc. upon the occasion of receiving
the Diamond Award for Excellence in the Category of Special Projects by
the American Council of Engineering Companies of New York; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Parsons Brinckerhoff, Inc.
