LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Judy Rosch upon the occasion of her
designation for special recognition by To Life! to be celebrated on May
1, 2012

WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those within our midst who have made signif-
icant contributions to the quality of life therein; and
WHEREAS, A great community is only as great as those persons who
provide exemplary service, whether through participation in voluntary
programs, through unique personal achievement in their profession or
other endeavors, or simply through a lifetime of good citizenship; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to honor volunteer
Judy Rosch upon the occasion of her designation for special recognition
by To Life! to be celebrated at its 14th Annual Gala: "Honoring the
Women in Our Lives" on Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at the Franklin Plaza,
Troy, New York; and
WHEREAS, Since 1998, To Life! has served thousands of women and their
families throughout the 10 county capital region providing unparalleled
education, information and support regarding breast cancer; and
WHEREAS, Judy Rosch earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing
from Salve Regina University; and
WHEREAS, For 10 years, Judy Rosch has been employed as a nurse in
various health care settings, including: St. Peter's Hospital, a town
nurse, a school nurse for all grade levels, and a nurse in a
cardiologist's office, as well as an Intake Coordinator and a Nurse
Manager in a nursing home setting for the Community Hospice; and
WHEREAS, This outstanding woman has completed the Three Levels of
Reiki Training and has provided healings as a Complimentary Therapist
for hospice patients; she has also taught Reiki 1 and 2 to both hospice
employees and volunteers; and
WHEREAS, Judy Rosch completed the four-year diploma program in Brennan
Science Healing at the Barbara Brennan School of Healing in Miami,
Florida; she then worked for the Community Hospice in the Complimentary
Department as the Team Leader and an Energy Healer; and
WHEREAS, Currently, Judy Rosch maintains a private healing practice,
and lectures on health and well-being to various cancer support groups;
and
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Judy Rosch upon the occasion of her designation for special recog-
nition by To Life!; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Judy Rosch.
