LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Gabriel Rosenfeld upon the occasion of
his designation for special recognition by the Rotary Club of Chappaqua

WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those within our midst who have made signif-
icant contributions to the quality of life therein; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Gabriel Rosen-
feld upon the occasion of his designation for special recognition by the
Rotary Club of Chappaqua, to be celebrated on January 29, 2011; and
WHEREAS, Originally from Brooklyn and a graduate of Cornell Universi-
ty, Gabriel Rosenfeld served in the 94th Division of the United States
Army during World War II; and
WHEREAS, Past President of both the Chappaqua Rotary Club and the
Westchester Municipal Planning Federation, Gabriel Rosenfeld is a recip-
ient of the 2006 Westchester Municipal Planning Federation Lifetime
Achievement Award, and he received the Rotary's prestigious Paul Harris
Fellow Award; and
WHEREAS, Past Chair and Board Member of the New Castle Zoning Board of
Appeals, Gabriel Rosenfeld is a member of the Northern Westchester
Hospital President's Council; and
WHEREAS, With him throughout have been his wife, Louise and their
children Leslie, Alison, and Erica, all of whom feel privileged to be a
part of his life and rejoice in his achievements; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Gabriel Rosenfeld upon the occasion of his designation for special
recognition by the Rotary Club of Chappaqua; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Gabriel Rosenfeld.
