LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Hoosick Falls High School Girls Soccer
Coach Tom Husser upon the occasion of his designation as the New York
State 2011 Class C Coach of the Year

WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize those individuals within our midst who have contributed great-
ly to the quality of our lives by providing exceptional leadership and
commitment to our youth; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to act, in accord
with its long-standing traditions, to commend notable educators and
athletic coaches who serve the youth of this great Empire State and who
have distinguished themselves and their schools through outstanding
commitment and exemplary athletic achievement; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Hoosick Falls High School Girls Soccer Coach Tom Husser upon the occa-
sion of his designation as the New York State 2011 Class C Coach of the
Year; and
WHEREAS, Coach Tom Husser just completed his 11th year at Hoosick
Falls with a 188-37-9 record overall marking a winning percentage of
82%; his team went 20-1-2 this year, crowning the Lady Panthers as the
New York State Class C Champions; in addition, the team also earned the
New York State Class C Regional title and Section II Class C Champion-
ship; and
WHEREAS, In the 11 years as coach of the Hoosick Falls High School
Girls Soccer Team, Tom Husser's teams have allowed a total of only 185
goals while scoring 824 goals on offense; his 2005 team won the New York
State Class C Championship with a 22-2-1 record; and
WHEREAS, A testament to his coaching excellence, Tom Husser has had 21
former players go on to play soccer at the collegiate level; and
WHEREAS, Coach Tom Husser's positive demeanor, selfless commitment,
and caring concern have contributed to his enduring success as a coach
and mentor, earning him the just respect and admiration of his communi-
ty, his peers, and the athletes he has so ably coached; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Hoosick Falls High School Girls Soccer Coach Tom Husser upon the
occasion of his designation as the New York State 2011 Class C Coach of
the Year; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Coach Tom Husser.
