LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Dr. Matthew Kuschner upon the occasion
of being inducted into the John F. Kennedy High School Hall of Fame

WHEREAS, It is the practice of this Legislative Body to take note of and
publicly acknowledge individuals of remarkable integrity and character
who have inspired and brought pride to our majestic Empire State with
their strong contributions to the community and model citizenship; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Dr.
Matthew Kuschner upon the occasion of being inducted into the John F.
Kennedy High School Hall of Fame; to celebrate this auspicious event, a
Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Dinner was held at the high school
on Saturday, November 13, 2010; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Matthew Kuschner graduated in 1977 from John F. Kennedy
High School which is located in the Bellmore-Merrick Central High School
District; and
WHEREAS, He then graduated from The State University of New York at
Albany and continued his studies at New York Chiropractic College; and
WHEREAS, Formerly a private practitioner, Dr. Matthew Kuschner now
serves as a medical investigator for a national insurance company; and
WHEREAS, As a longtime community advocate, Dr. Matthew Kuschner is a
15-year Trustee with the North Merrick Board of Education, a six-year
trustee and/or Officer with the Bellmore-Merrick Central High School
District Board of Education, and a Member of the Bellmore-Merrick Commu-
nity Wellness Center Board of Directors; and
WHEREAS, Furthermore, Dr. Matthew Kuschner serves as the Commissioner
of CYO and PAL Football, and is a three-year Trustee of Congregation
B'nai Israel; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Dr. Matthew Kuschner upon the occasion of being inducted into the
John F. Kennedy High School Hall of Fame; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Dr. Matthew Kuschner, 1914 Frederick Avenue, Merrick, New
York.
