LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Gavin Buehler of the Williamson
Middle School upon the occasion of his selection to compete in the annu-
al Scripps National Spelling Bee

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to commend and pay
tribute to those young people who have inspired and brought pride to our
majestic Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late Gavin Buehler of the Williamson Middle School upon the occasion of
his selection to compete in the annual Scripps National Spelling Bee, to
be held in Washington, D.C. in May 2012; and
WHEREAS, Gavin Buehler is in the 5th grade at Williamson Middle School
in Williamson, New York; and
WHEREAS, Gavin Buehler won the right to compete at the prestigious
annual Scripps National Spelling Bee to be held in Washington, D.C. in
May 2012, by successfully competing at the 19th annual Wayne-Finger
Lakes BOCES Regional Bee held in Geneva, New York; and
WHEREAS, Gavin Buehler's victory at the 19th annual Wayne-Finger Lakes
BOCES Regional Bee held in Geneva, New York, was accomplished by spell-
ing the word "fugleman"; and
WHEREAS, It is appropriate to celebrate the individual accomplishments
of remarkable and exceptional students who participate in these educa-
tional contests and who have achieved noteworthy recognition for their
efforts; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is proud to recognize and applaud Gavin
Buehler for his outstanding success, achievement and noteworthy accom-
plishment in being selected to participate in the annual Scripps
National Spelling Bee; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when an
outstanding student and individual of such noble aims and notable accom-
plishments is brought to our attention, he should be recognized by all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Gavin Buehler of the Williamson Middle School upon the
occasion of his selection to compete in the annual Scripps National
Spelling Bee, to be held in Washington, D.C. in May 2012; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Gavin Buehler.
