LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending MedFirst upon the occasion of hosting
its Grand Opening Reception for its Lancaster, New York, facility on
February 10, 2011

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those organiza-
tions and individuals that are devoted to the health and welfare of the
community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
MedFirst upon the occasion of hosting its Grand Opening Reception for
its Lancaster, New York, facility on February 10, 2011; and
WHEREAS, MedFirst has the distinction of being one of the area's first
urgent care providers; in 2003, a group of doctors saw the need for a
new model for providing urgent care for non-life threatening injuries
and illnesses; this organization offers a high quality, convenient and
affordable alternative to the emergency room for busy families; and
WHEREAS, Since that time, MedFirst has expanded into three facilities
and has cared for thousands of community members; and
WHEREAS, Treating a wide range of injuries and illnesses, as well as
offering a number of other services such as exams, physicals, screenings
and testing, MedFirst provides the necessary treatment that families
deserve; and
WHEREAS, A primary resource for urgent care during nights and weekends
when doctors offices are typically closed, MedFirst has chosen Lancaster
as one of its new locations; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when organiza-
tions of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion they should be recognized by all the citizens of this great Empire
State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend MedFirst upon the occasion of hosting its Grand Opening Recep-
tion for its Lancaster, New York, facility; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to MedFirst, 4827 Transit Road, Lancaster, New York.
