LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending BonaDent Dental Laboratories upon the
occasion of its expansion in Seneca Falls, New York

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize the
achievements of those individuals and businesses which substantially
contribute to the economic vitality of their communities and the entire
Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
BonaDent Dental Laboratories upon the occasion of its expansion in Sene-
ca Falls, New York; and
WHEREAS, Sixty years ago, Angelo Bonafiglia, an aspiring and talented
young dental lab technician opened his own small laboratory above Alps
Restaurant (now Parkers) in downtown Seneca Falls, New York, unknowingly
setting the course for successful dental technicians for decades to
come; consisting of Angelo and just two employees, BonaDent was princi-
pally a denture lab, serving only a handful of local dentists; and
WHEREAS, After relocating to Auburn, New York, BonaDent Dental Labora-
tories continued its growth and success through multiple expansions
prior to returning to its roots in Seneca Falls in 1999; and
WHEREAS, From the beginning, the company's goals were simple, but they
ring as true today as they did in 1950, which include: understanding
your doctors, knowing their needs, providing them with products that
reflect the highest in craftsmanship and care, and delivering them with
consistent, friendly customer service; and
WHEREAS, Today, BonaDent Dental Laboratories is an independently owned
and operated, full-service dental lab, now in its fourth generation
under the ownership of the Bonafiglia family; President Bruce H. Bonaf-
iglia bought the company in 1986; and
WHEREAS, Since that time, Bruce Bonafiglia has presided over more than
two decades of success and steady growth at BonaDent, never losing sight
of those fundamental principles of Angelo; Bruce's daughters, Daniele,
Vice President, and Erin, Vice President of BonaDent's sister lab,
Danaren, are helping to propel the company toward continued growth and
the future; and
WHEREAS, In 2000, BonaDent relocated to its current flagship location
in Seneca Falls, New York; the bright and spacious, 44,000-square-foot
laboratory facility is one of the country's most technologically
equipped and well-resourced labs; Bruce Bonafiglia believes wholeheart-
edly that it was his employees who truly built the new laboratory, due
to their years of dedication and hard work; and
WHEREAS, BonaDent has completed a significant project which added 90
new jobs to its 138-person work force; the company is proud to never
outsource casework, always manufacturing its products in the United
States and the Family's 60-year tradition of innovation continues to
help dentists realize success in their practices, one restoration at a
time; and
WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body acknowl-
edges BonaDent's contributions to the local and State economies, and
extends its highest commendation to this corporate enterprise, fully
confident that it will continue to enjoy the sparkling success it has
enjoyed thus far; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend BonaDent Dental Laboratories upon the occasion of its expansion
in Seneca Falls, New York; and be it further
RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the Bonafiglia Family and BonaDent Dental Laboratories.
