LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Patrick and Peggy Harrison of
Rasmussen Furniture and Rasmussen Funeral Home upon the occasion of
receiving the 2012 All in the Family honors from the SULLIVAN COUNTY
DEMOCRAT

WHEREAS, Organizations and individuals which serve the economic well-be-
ing and interests of the people of this great Empire State merit the
commendation of this Legislative Body; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that
the quality and character of life in the communities across New York
State are enhanced by the concerned and dedicated efforts of business
organizations and individuals that generously contribute to the welfare
of the community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late Patrick and Peggy Harrison of Rasmussen Furniture and Rasmussen
Funeral Home upon the occasion of receiving the 2012 All in the Family
honors from the SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT; and
WHEREAS, Rasmussen Furniture and Rasmussen Funeral Home are located on
Main Street in Narrowsburg, New York; and
WHEREAS, In 2004, Patrick and Peggy Harrison purchased Rasmussen's
from Ron and Jane Rasmussen; in the 114 years since these businesses
were founded, they have been owned by only two families; and
WHEREAS, Patrick Harrison is a third generation funeral director, and
is the funeral director of Rasmussen Funeral Home; Peggy Harrison's
family also has roots in the funeral business; and
WHEREAS, The Rasmussen Furniture store is under the purview of Peggy
Harrison; the store's reputation is built on quality furniture and
affordable prices; it contains 30,000 square feet in three stories; and
WHEREAS, Residing in Narrowsburg, New York, Patrick and Peggy Harrison
are the proud parents of two children, and are active in local community
affairs; and
WHEREAS, This auspicious occasion presents a unique opportunity for
this Legislative Body to recognize and pay tribute to Patrick and Peggy
Harrison of Rasmussen Furniture and Rasmussen Funeral Home; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when business
organizations and individuals of such noble aims and accomplishments are
brought to our attention, they should be recognized by all the citizens
of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Patrick and Peggy Harrison of Rasmussen Furniture and
Rasmussen Funeral Home upon the occasion of receiving the 2012 All in
the Family honors from the SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Patrick and Peggy Harrison.
