LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating the Nober Family of Gasko & Meyer,
Inc. upon the occasion of receiving 2012 All in the Family honors from
the SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT

WHEREAS, Organizations and individuals which serve the economic well-be-
ing and interests of the people of this great Empire State merit the
commendation of this Legislative Body; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that
the quality and character of life in the communities across New York
State are enhanced by the concerned and dedicated efforts of business
organizations and individuals that generously contribute to the welfare
of the community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late the Nober Family of Gasko & Meyer, Inc. upon the occasion of
receiving 2012 All in the Family honors from the SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMO-
CRAT; and
WHEREAS, Gasko & Meyer, Inc. has been the proud distributor of fine
beverages since 1939; its warehouse and offices are located in Lake
Huntington, New York; the company currently distributes beverages to the
Hudson Valley, Catskill Region, and the Albany and Binghamton areas; and
WHEREAS, A fourth generation, family owned and operated business,
Gasko & Meyer, Inc. offers its customers friendly and dependable
service; it takes pride in distributing a fine variety of alcoholic and
non-alcoholic beverages to over 1700 customers; and
WHEREAS, The Nober Family, John, Mary Jane, Jeff and Bruce, are
descendants of the founders of Gasko & Meyer, Inc.; the business was
founded in Sullivan County in 1939 by Mary Jane's grandfather, Carl
Meyer; and
WHEREAS, Gasko & Meyer, Inc. has now expanded to 21 upstate and down-
state counties, employing more than two dozen people; and
WHEREAS, This auspicious occasion presents a unique opportunity for
this Legislative Body to recognize and pay tribute to Gasko & Meyer,
Inc. and the Nober Family; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when business
organizations and individuals of such noble aims and accomplishments are
brought to our attention, they should be recognized by all the citizens
of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate the Nober Family of Gasko & Meyer, Inc. upon the occasion
of receiving 2012 All in the Family honors from the SULLIVAN COUNTY
DEMOCRAT; and be it further
RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the Nober Family of Gasko & Meyer, Inc.
