LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Diane D'Erasmo upon the occasion of her
designation as recipient of the Leadership Award by the Nassau County
AHRC Foundation on June 8, 2012

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and pay
tribute to those individuals within the Empire State who have made
strong contributions to their communities and who inspire others through
their model citizenry; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Diane D'Erasmo
upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of the Leadership
Award by the Nassau County AHRC Foundation, to be celebrated at its 62nd
Annual Rose Ball at the Crest Hollow Country Club, Woodbury, New York,
on June 8, 2012; and
WHEREAS, The Annual Rose Ball, held each year in June since 1950, is
AHRC Nassau's largest social function and is attended yearly by numerous
guests, including AHRC family members, as well as the Long Island corpo-
rate community and helps to support programs and services for children
and adults with intellectual and other developmental disabilities to
reach their fullest potential; and
WHEREAS, Each year at its Rose Ball, AHRC Nassau proudly honors those
who help to support its mission and work diligently on behalf of its
worthy endeavors; and
WHEREAS, Diane D'Erasmo is the Executive Vice President of Commercial
Banking at HSBC Bank USA, NA, a subsidiary HSBC Holdings plc (NYSEHBC),
one of the world's largest banking and financial services organizations;
in this role, she is responsible for serving the financing needs of
commercial and corporate clients from the Northeast Region; and
WHEREAS, Diane D'Erasmo serves as a Board Member for the following:
Educational Foundation for the Fashion Industries at the Fashion Insti-
tute of Technology, Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City and Junior
Achievement of New York; she is a member of the Board of Advisors at the
Tobin College of Business; in addition, she was recognized in 2008,
2009, 2010 and 2011 as one of the 25 Most Powerful Women in Banking by
US BANKER MAGAZINE; and
WHEREAS, Diane D'Erasmo has been called upon to contribute her time
and talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has always
given of herself unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of her community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Diane D'Erasmo has stood constant in
dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by individuals
for the benefit of others which Diane D'Erasmo has displayed throughout
her life; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Diane D'Erasmo upon the occasion of her designation as recipient
of the Leadership Award by the Nassau County AHRC Foundation; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Diane D'Erasmo.
