LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commemorating the 50th Anniversary of Hickory
Hill Family Camping Resort on June 9, 2012

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that the quality of
life of the citizens of the State of New York is greatly enriched by the
availability of exceptional recreational facilities; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commem-
orate the 50th Anniversary of Hickory Hill Family Camping Resort, to be
observed at a kick-off celebration on Saturday, June 9, 2012; and
WHEREAS, On this most auspicious occasion, a ribbon cutting ceremony
will take place for Hickory Hill Family Camping Resort's new water
venue, Scamper's Sprayground; and
WHEREAS, For the last five decades, Hickory Hill Family Camping Resort
has proudly served as one of New York's premier family camping resorts
in the Finger Lakes Region; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the years, Hickory Hill Family Camping Resort has
been a destination much appreciated by the residents of the Finger Lakes
and visitors who seek the historical, cultural, and recreational
resources of the area; and
WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body acknowl-
edges this exceptional resort and its contributions to the local and
State economies, fully confident that it will continue to enjoy the
sparkling successes it has experienced thus far; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commemorate the 50th Anniversary of Hickory Hill Family Camping Resort
on June 9, 2012; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Hickory Hill Family Camping Resort.
