LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Haggerty Ace Hardware upon the
occasion of its designation by the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce
as the recipient of its 2010 Business of the Year Award

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend the achievements of individuals, organizations, and businesses
which contribute substantially to the economic health and vitality of
the communities of the great State of New York; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late Haggerty Ace Hardware upon the occasion of its designation by the
Delaware County Chamber of Commerce as the recipient of its 2010 Busi-
ness of the Year Award; and
WHEREAS, Haggerty Ace Hardware, and its owners, Jeff and Wanda Hagger-
ty, were honored at the Chamber's Annual Awards Dinner held on October
14, 2010 at the Hanah Country Club in Margaretville, New York; and
WHEREAS, In 1992, Jeff and Wanda Haggerty opened their first store,
Haggerty Ace Hardware, in Cooperstown, New York; since then, the
original store has doubled in size and service and the Haggerty's have
expanded to Delaware County, opening two locations, one in Delhi and the
other in Walton; through their growth, Jeff and Wanda have created
several jobs, hiring new, local employees and have also brought their
dedicated and loyal staff to serve the residents of the community; and
WHEREAS, Haggerty Ace Hardware prides itself on quality customer
service and a friendly staff to interact and assist customers by offer-
ing knowledgeable advice, helpful service and quality products; Jeff and
Wanda, as well as their entire staff at Haggerty Ace Hardware, exemplify
the idea that hard work can lead to success; and
WHEREAS, The future growth and continued healthy development of the
economy of the communities of the State of New York are dependent on the
successful operation and commitment of businesses and industries such as
Haggerty Ace Hardware operating within the local community; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when the accom-
plishments of businesses such as Haggerty Ace Hardware are brought to
our attention it is appropriate to publicly proclaim and commend them,
and their owners and employees, for their outstanding professional
behavior, corporate innovation, and commitment and service to their
community; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Haggerty Ace Hardware upon the occasion of its designation by the
Delaware County Chamber of Commerce as the recipient of its 2010 Busi-
ness of the Year Award; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Jeff and Wanda Haggerty, owners of Haggerty Ace Hardware, 1
Main Street, Delhi, New York 13753.
