LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Dr. Reverend Alfred Justin Joseph upon
the occasion of his designation for special recognition

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to commend the efforts
of those individuals within the State of New York who give of their time
and energies in support of spiritual endeavors which aim to benefit the
community at large; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Dr.
Reverend Alfred Justin Joseph upon the occasion of his designation for
special recognition; and
WHEREAS, Alfred Joseph was born in Haiti and in 1979 from his early
youth, he began his Christian work as an evangelist under the auspices
of Elder Bishop Carrier Guillaume; Alfred was later trained to the
Ministry and ordained as a pastor at Christ Army Church in Haiti; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Alfred Joseph moved to the United States in 1985; upon
his arrival, he married his sweetheart Precieuse Joseph in October of
that year; they began their lives together and God later blessed them
with two beautiful children, Fredlyn and Alfred Joshua; and
WHEREAS, In 1988, Dr. Alfred Joseph founded La Piscine De Bethesda in
Brooklyn, New York; this is a missionary and community church which was
incorporated the same year and he also had visions for Haiti and the
Dominican Republic which led him to start building a Christian Center;
along with a church it would include an elementary and secondary school,
an orphanage, and a retreat center, along with a vocational school; and
WHEREAS, Since being ordained a pastor, Dr. Alfred Joseph has founded
churches in many areas in Haiti; he has founded more than 13 churches
throughout Haiti, the United States and the Dominican Republic; his
ministry is not limited to only his congregation, but also reaches out
to the masses around the world; and
WHEREAS, With his non-denominational and non-sectarian approach, Dr.
Alfred Joseph's teaching ministry extends to all in the body of Christ
and to the world; attaining a Certificate in Paralegal Studies and an
NYC Peace Officer Certificate from John Jay College, he has earned a
Master of Theology Degree from International Theological Seminary of
California, an honorary doctorate degree in Sacred letters for his dedi-
cation and outstanding services, and is also a certified temperament
counselor and professional licensed chaplain; and
WHEREAS, Before entering full time ministry in 1996, Dr. Alfred Joseph
spent ten years working in the New York City Government as a peace offi-
cer, and served many years as a bookkeeper with Necessary Object LTD., a
corporate organization serving the international community; he is
currently assisted by 10 Pastors, 25 Deacons and 15 Evangelists, along
with an Advisory Board; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Dr. Reverend Alfred Justin Joseph upon the occasion of his desig-
nation for special recognition; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Dr. Reverend Alfred Justin Joseph.
