LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Matt and Steve Lazar upon the occasion
of their designation as recipients of the Chamber Member of the Year
Award by the Bellmore Chamber of Commerce

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Matt and Steve Lazar of Nature's Museum Store have given not
only of their time and energies but also of their competence, intelli-
gence and leadership and consequently have been designated for special
recognition; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Matt and Steve
Lazar upon the occasion of their designation as recipients of the Cham-
ber Member of the Year Award by the Bellmore Chamber of Commerce to be
celebrated at its Annual Installation Dinner on January 29, 2011; and
WHEREAS, Matt and Steve Lazar have been called upon to contribute
their time and talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and
have always given of themselves unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, For the past 25 years, Matt and Steve Lazar along with their
family, have been the proprietors of a jewelry manufacturing business in
the Bellmores; recently, they opened a retail store, giving them the
opportunity to employ many members of their own community; and
WHEREAS, Matt and Steve Lazar have volunteered much of their time to
the Bellmore Chamber of Commerce; in addition, throughout the year they
have generously offered their store as the venue for many fundraising
events for both the Chamber and other local organizations; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of their community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Matt and Steve Lazar have stood
constant in dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by individuals
for the benefit of others which Matt and Steve Lazar have displayed
throughout their lives; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Matt and Steve Lazar of Nature's Museum Store upon the occasion of
their designation as recipients of the Chamber Member of the Year Award
by the Bellmore Chamber of Commerce; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Matt and Steve Lazar.
