LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Olga Berest, Allison Friedman and Nancy
Heller upon the occasion of their designation for special recognition by
the Port Washington Children's Center

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to pay tribute to
those individuals of historic and artistic significance whose creative
talents have contributed to the cultural enrichment of our communities
and our Nation; and
WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Olga Berest, Allison Friedman and Nancy Heller have given not
only of their time and energies but also of their competence, intelli-
gence and leadership and consequently have been designated for special
recognition; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Olga Berest,
Allison Friedman and Nancy Heller upon the occasion of their designation
for special recognition by the Port Washington Children's Center to be
celebrated at its Children and the Arts event at The Clubhouse at Harbor
Links, Port Washington, New York, on Sunday, March 13, 2011; and
WHEREAS, Olga Berest, Allison Friedman and Nancy Heller have been
called upon to contribute their time and talents to countless civic and
charitable endeavors and have always given of themselves unstintingly;
and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of their community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Olga Berest, Allison Friedman and
Nancy Heller have stood constant in dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to call attention
to individuals and organizations that devote their time and energies to
the cultural enrichment of the Empire State; and now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Olga Berest, Allison Friedman and Nancy Heller upon the occasion
of their designation for special recognition by the Port Washington
Children's Center; and be it further
RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Olga Berest, Allison Friedman and Nancy Heller.
