LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commemorating the 114th Birthday of the Chatter-
ton PTA to be observed at its 2011 Founders Day Celebration

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality of life in the communities across this great State of New York
is enriched by the concerned and dedicated efforts of those organiza-
tions of distinction whose singular purpose is the care and welfare of
our youth, our most precious resource; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commem-
orate the 114th Birthday of the Chatterton PTA to be observed at its
2011 Founders Day Celebration on Monday, March 7, 2011, in the Chatter-
ton Gymnasium; and
WHEREAS, This year, the Chatterton PTA will be paying just tribute to
outstanding individuals who have made valuable contributions to the
children and the schools within the Chatterton community; and
WHEREAS, The 2011 exceptional individuals include Peter Gangi, Alison
Giangregorio, Jean Petter, Charles Rosenblum, Benay Sarner, Kerri Starr,
Eric Strezenec, and Teresa Zimmmardi; furthermore, select students will
be honored for their participation in the 2010-2011 Reflections Program;
and
WHEREAS, The success enjoyed by the Chatterton PTA is in direct corre-
lation to the efforts of the many individuals and volunteers who have
supported the development of the Association over the years; and
WHEREAS, It is the practice of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commemorate the 114th Birthday of the Chatterton PTA to be observed at
its 2011 Founders Day Celebration; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the Chatterton PTA.
