LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Hanna Grisewood of Warsaw High
School upon the occasion of winning her 100th career scholastic wrestl-
ing match

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body takes pleasure in honoring talented high
school athletes who distinguish themselves and their community through
outstanding athletic performance; and
WHEREAS, Athletic competition enhances the moral and physical develop-
ment of the young people of this State, preparing them for the future by
instilling in them the value of teamwork, encouraging a standard of
healthy living, imparting a desire for success and developing a sense of
fair play and competition; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, it is the intent of this Legislative Body to
congratulate Hanna Grisewood of Warsaw High School upon the occasion of
winning her 100th career scholastic wrestling match; and
WHEREAS, In four seasons of wrestling for the Warsaw High School
Tigers, Hanna Grisewood has advanced deep into the New York State wres-
tling tournament, and has earned a second place finish at the USA Wres-
tling Girl's Folkstyle National Tournament; and
WHEREAS, In January 2011, at the Salamanca Invitational Wrestling
Tournament, Hanna Grisewood captured her 100th career scholastic wrestl-
ing match, an accomplishment unprecedented in Warsaw High School girls'
wrestling history; and
WHEREAS, During the Salamanca Invitational Wrestling Tournament, Hanna
Grisewood won her opening match in the 103 pound weight class with a pin
and followed it up with another pin in her second match; in her semi-
final match, she bested her opponent by a score of 9-2; and
WHEREAS, With her second place finish in the 103 pound weight class at
the Salamanca Invitational Wrestling Tournament, Hanna Grisewood is
poised to be a strong competitor in the upcoming New York State wrestl-
ing championship tournament; and
WHEREAS, Excellence and success in competitive sports can be achieved
only through strenuous practice; Hanna Grisewood's dedication to wrestl-
ing is a year-round, everyday commitment; she is highly focused and has
developed a matchless work ethic; and
WHEREAS, Hanna Grisewood's exemplary performance is reflective of her
dedication, determination and personal commitment; her achievements
stand as a hallmark of what is best in the families, schools and commu-
nities across New York State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Hanna Grisewood of Warsaw High School upon the occasion of
winning her 100th career scholastic wrestling match, and to commend her
for the enduring honor she has brought to her family, her school and her
community; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Hanna Grisewood of Warsaw High School.
