LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Martino Auto Concepts upon the occasion
of its designation for special recognition by the Diabetes Research
Institute

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and pay
tribute to those businesses which contribute to the improvement and
enhancement of the quality of life in the communities they represent;
and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Martino Auto
Concepts upon the occasion of its designation for special recognition by
the Diabetes Research Institute to be celebrated at its 8th Annual Cook-
ing for a Cure benefit on Monday, March 28, 2011, at Page One Restau-
rant, Glen Cove, New York; and
WHEREAS, The mission at the Diabetes Research Institute is to develop,
and rapidly apply, the most promising research to treat those now living
with diabetes; and
WHEREAS, To help support the lifesaving work of the Diabetes Research
Institute, Martino Auto Concepts/MAC Auto Couture held its 2nd Annual
Gold Coast Concours/Bimmerstock event; this exciting event showcased
hundreds of exotic cars throughout downtown Glen Cove's business
district; and
WHEREAS, This auspicious event focused on bringing public awareness
and education about diabetes to the community; and
WHEREAS, Businesses which have devoted much of their time and energy
to improving the quality of life for others and have made significant
contributions to the public welfare of the State of New York, are
deserving of highest praise and recognition; and
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body that when busi-
nesses of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Martino Auto Concepts upon the occasion of its designation for
special recognition by the Diabetes Research Institute; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the Martino Auto Concepts, 108 Glen Cove Avenue, Glen Cove,
New York 11542.
