LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring the Montana family of Montana's Restau-
rant upon the occasion of their designation as recipients of the Busi-
ness Persons of the Year Award by the Freeport Chamber of Commerce

WHEREAS, Organizations and individuals which serve the economic well-be-
ing and interests of the people of this great Empire State merit the
commendation of this Legislative Body; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor the
Montana family of Montana's Restaurant upon the occasion of their desig-
nation as recipients of the Business Persons of the Year Award by the
Freeport Chamber of Commerce; this auspicious occasion will be cele-
brated at the Chamber's Annual Installation Dinner Dance, to be held on
Friday, April 8, 2011, at the Chateau Briand, 440 Old Country Road,
Carle Place, New York; and
WHEREAS, Montana's Restaurant in Freeport, New York, opened in 1989 as
a local pizzeria with catering services; and
WHEREAS, Since its opening, Montana's Restaurant has had three expan-
sions and now offers a full bar, dining room and a party room, in addi-
tion to its traditional pizzeria; and
WHEREAS, With an emphasis on refined yet creative cuisine, Montana's
Restaurant's menu incorporates both traditional classic favorites and
original new dishes; acclaimed favorites include basil crusted salmon,
homemade gnocchi and linguini in white clam sauce; a variety of soups
and personal sized pizzas are also available; parties of two or more can
order family sized portions at reasonable prices; and
WHEREAS, Located in South Freeport, New York, Montana's Restaurant has
a modem interior that compares favorably to a contemporary New York City
restaurant; the Montana family members personally greet their customers
and work to ensure that quality food and entertainment is provided; and
WHEREAS, Since opening its doors in 1989, the Montana family and
Montana's Restaurant have received a multitude of industry accolades,
including recently being honored by the Town of Hempstead and Village of
Freeport for established reliability through the years; and
WHEREAS, This auspicious occasion presents a unique opportunity for
this Legislative Body to recognize and pay tribute to both the Montana
family and to Montana's Restaurant in Freeport, New York; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals and business organizations of such noble aims and accomplishments
are brought to our attention, they should be recognized by all the citi-
zens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor the Montana family of Montana's Restaurant upon the occasion of
their designation as recipients of the Business Persons of the Year
Award by the Freeport Chamber of Commerce; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the Montana family of Montana's Restaurant, 13 Atlantic
Avenue, Freeport, New York.
