LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Council Leader Manuelita Clemente upon
the occasion of her retirement after 17 years of distinguished service
to Parole Council 236

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and honor
those distinguished citizens of this great Empire State who have devoted
themselves to faithfully serving the best interests of their community
and the needs of its residents; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Council Leader Manuelita Clemente upon the occasion of her retirement
after 17 years of distinguished service to Parole Council 236; she will
officially retire in April of 2011; and
WHEREAS, Manuelita "Manny" Clemente started her illustrious career as
a New York State Parole Officer on January 13, 1994; elected in May of
2005, she faithfully served two terms as Council Leader of Parole Coun-
cil 236 which is a division of PEF; and
WHEREAS, Throughout her tenure, Council Leader Manuelita Clemente
served with intelligence and caring dedication, continuously striving to
effectively fulfill the duties of her position; and
WHEREAS, Sincerely loved and greatly respected by all those with whom
she worked, Council Leader Manuelita Clemente will be remembered for her
honesty, integrity, keen sense of duty and ability to show a unique
grasp of human problems in her official acts; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
the great State of New York; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Manuelita Clemente upon the occasion of her retirement, and to
wish her continued success in all her future endeavors; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Manuelita Clemente.
