LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Flora B. Leamer upon the occasion of her
designation as recipient of the 2012 Lifetime Achiever of the Year Award
by the Clarence Chamber of Commerce

WHEREAS, Flora B. Leamer has given not only of her time and energies but
also of her competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently has
been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Flora B. Leam-
er upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of the 2012 Life-
time Achiever of the Year Award by the Clarence Chamber of Commerce, to
be celebrated on Thursday, February 16, 2012; and
WHEREAS, Sponsoring this fine event, the Clarence Chamber of Commerce
is hosting its Annual Awards Dinner at Samuel's Grande Manor; and
WHEREAS, Flora Leamer attended Erie Community College and is an
Accountant for DKS, CPA's which merged with Tronconi Segarra & Associ-
ates LLP, CPA's; and
WHEREAS, Active in her community, Flora Leamer is affiliated with
Clarence Hollow Merchants Association as Treasurer, and committee chair;
a Past Officer with the Clarence Chamber of Commerce, as well as Board
Member and various committees chair; in addition, she has been an Erie
County Fair volunteer for over 25 years; and
WHEREAS, Flora Leamer is also a member of the Clarence Clubhouse
Centennial & Restoration Committees, Rock the Barn, "Meals on Wheels",
American Cancer Society, "Relay for Life", American Heart Association,
"Heart Ball", Garden Friends of Clarence Club, Inc., Clarence Woman's
Club, and the Clarence Contemporary Club, to name a few; and
WHEREAS, Flora Leamer has been called upon to contribute her time and
talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has always given
of herself unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of her community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Flora Leamer has stood constant in
dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, With her throughout has been her husband, John, who feels
privileged to be a part of her life and rejoices in her achievements;
and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Flora Leamer has displayed through-
out her life; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Flora B. Leamer upon the occasion of her designation as recipient
of the 2012 Lifetime Achiever of the Year Award; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Flora B. Leamer.
