LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Dr. Salvatore Volpe upon the occasion
of his designation for special recognition

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to commend individuals
whose professional commitment and dedication enhance the excellence of
health care in their community and the great State of New York; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Dr. Salva-
tore Volpe upon the occasion of his designation for special recognition;
and
WHEREAS, Dr. Salvatore Volpe has served as a local and national leader
on topics related to improving the quality of health care through the
use of Health Information Technology; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Salvatore Volpe's practice was the first solo practice in
New York State to be recognized by NCQA as a Level III Patient Centered
Medical Home; and
WHEREAS, Recipient of the 2010 Chapter Leader of the Year award,
Doctor Salvatore Volpe was honored for his significant leadership and
extraordinary contributions to HIMSS Chapters, the Society and his
commitment to the HIT industry; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Salvatore Volpe has been called upon to contribute his
time and talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has
always given of himself unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Dr. Salvatore Volpe has stood
constant in dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, In the faithful performance of his duties and responsibil-
ities, Dr. Salvatore Volpe's ongoing efforts and notable achievements
have significantly contributed to bettering the quality of life in his
community; and
WHEREAS, Throughout his tenure, he continuously displayed initiative
and an unrelenting commitment when pursuing the highest of goals, and he
has served as a role model of leadership to be emulated by all; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Dr. Salvatore Volpe upon the occasion of his designation for
special recognition; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Dr. Salvatore Volpe.
