LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Perry's Ice Cream Company, Inc. upon the
occasion of its designation as recipient of Akron Chamber's 2013 Choice
Honorary Large Business of the Year Award

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend the leaders of commerce and industry whose accomplishments
contribute to the economic health and prosperity of the communities of
the State of New York and individuals whose purposeful endeavors, as
involved members of the community, enhance the quality of life therein;
and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern and fully in accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Perry's Ice Cream Company, Inc. upon the occasion of its designation as
recipient of Akron Chamber's 2013 Choice Honorary Large Business of the
Year Award; and
WHEREAS, Perry's Ice Cream Company, Inc. will be honored by the Akron
Chamber of Commerce at its Annual Banquet on Thursday, May 9, 2013; and
WHEREAS, One of the two largest ice cream manufacturing plants in New
York State, Perry's Ice Cream Company, Inc. makes approximately 500
different items totaling over 12 million gallons per year; and
WHEREAS, Perry's Ice Cream Company, Inc.'s distinguished record merits
the recognition and respectful tribute of this Legislative Body; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when the noble
aims and accomplishments of businesses such as the Perry's Ice Cream
Company, Inc. are brought to our attention it is appropriate to publicly
proclaim and commend them for the edification and emulation of others;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor the Perry's Ice Cream Company, Inc. upon the occasion of its
designation as recipient of Akron Chamber's 2013 Choice Honorary Large
Business of the Year Award; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Perry's Ice Cream Company, Inc.
