LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Kevin O'Connor upon the occasion of his
designation for special recognition by Catholic Charities Caregivers
Support Services on April 25, 2013

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Kevin O'Connor has given not only of his time and energies
but also of his competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently
has been designated for special recognition; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Kevin O'Connor
upon the occasion of his designation for special recognition by Catholic
Charities Caregivers Support Services to be celebrated at its annual
event at 11 North Pearl, Albany, New York, on Thursday, April 25, 2013;
and
WHEREAS, Catholic Charities Caregivers Support Services (CCCSS) is a
not-for-profit agency of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Albany
that recognizes human need at all stages of life, responding to all
persons regardless of race, creed, or lifestyle, with special emphasis
on low-income and otherwise vulnerable individuals; and
WHEREAS, Under the luminous direction of Kevin O'Connor, Tech Valley
Communications has previously been named by INC. MAGAZINE as one of the
fastest growing "Inner City 100 Companies"; and
WHEREAS, Prior to his work at the telecommunications company, Kevin
O'Connor served as president of the Center for Economic Growth and had a
long-standing career in economic development; and
WHEREAS, This outstanding man believes strongly in giving back to his
community and lends his expertise to many boards including AMRI Global,
First Niagara Bank's Regional Advisory Board, The College of Saint Rose,
and The University at Albany's School of Business Advisory Board, among
others; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Kevin O'Connor has displayed
throughout his life; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Kevin O'Connor upon the occasion of his designation for special
recognition by Catholic Charities Caregivers Support Services; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Kevin O'Connor.
