LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending the Bellmore-Merrick United Secondary
Teachers 2013 Negotiating Team upon the occasion of its designation as
the recipient of the Lou DeFilippo Outstanding Union Service Award at
BMUST's Awards Dinner Dance on June 18, 2013

WHEREAS, It is the practice of this Legislative Body to take note of and
publicly acknowledge organizations and individuals of remarkable integ-
rity and character whose endeavors have enhanced the quality of educa-
tion in the great State of New York; and
WHEREAS, The result of many individual efforts, the excellence and the
success of the Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District is due in
large part to the efforts of Bellmore-Merrick United Secondary Teachers
and its members; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend the Bell-
more-Merrick United Secondary Teachers organization and to applaud the
teachers and other staff who are being honored with its coveted awards
at its Annual Awards Dinner Dance, being held at the Woodbury Country
Club in Woodbury, New York, on June 18, 2013; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is, in addition, justly proud to
commend the Bellmore-Merrick United Secondary Teachers 2013 Negotiating
Team upon the occasion of its designation as the recipient of the Lou
DeFilippo Outstanding Union Service Award at BMUST's Awards Dinner Dance
on June 18, 2013 and to express its appreciation to its members for
their dedicated and distinguished service; and
WHEREAS, The outstanding members of the Negotiating Team were: Michael
Dolber, Peter Brideson, Cathy Silletti, Mark Steinberg, Jon Dell'Olio,
Jason Elias, Lisa Gaeta, Laura Sheridan, Rob Walsh and Rich Wilen, all
of whom are to be commended for dedication and commitment to this impor-
tant endeavor; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
applaud the members of the Bellmore-Merrick United Secondary Teachers
2013 Negotiating Team upon the occasion of its designation as the recip-
ient of the Lou DeFilippo Outstanding Union Service Award at BMUST's
Awards Dinner Dance on June 18, 2013; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Bellmore-Merrick United Secondary Teachers and to each of the
members of the 2013 Negotiating Team.
