LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Hannah Feinman upon the occasion of her
recognition by the Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association as
a 2013 OCIAA Scholar Athlete

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to act, in accord with
its long-standing traditions, to honor the achievements of its young
citizens and leaders of tomorrow, whose character and accomplishments
exemplify the ideals and values cherished by this great State and
nation; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Hannah Feinman
upon the occasion of her recognition by the Orange County Interscholas-
tic Athletic Association as a 2013 OCIAA Scholar Athlete; and
WHEREAS, Academically and athletically, Hannah Feinman has distin-
guished herself as a young woman of superlative ability, talent, and
maturity, establishing standards of excellence and achievement, purpose-
fulness of life, and responsibility rarely achieved in youthful years;
and
WHEREAS, Hannah Feinman, a student at Sullivan West Secondary School
in Lake Huntington, New York, ranked 4th in her class and is a member of
the soccer, indoor track, alpine skiing, and track and field teams; and
WHEREAS, She is National Honor Society President, Class President and
Treasurer, and participates in Student Council, French Club, Board of
Education, and AYSO referee; she plans to attend Holyoke College and
major in Neuroscience and Physics, and compete on the track team; and
WHEREAS, An outstanding role model for her classmates, Hannah Feinman
has brought honor to her family, school, and community; and
WHEREAS, Hannah Feinman may stand with pride in her achievements,
experiencing the satisfaction of her labors and the joy of her accom-
plishments, eager to face the challenge of new experiences as she
continues her education; and
WHEREAS, Hannah Feinman represents the potential inherent in our most
precious resource, our youth; this Legislative Body is pleased to honor
this young woman, recognizing her achievements and the promise of her
future; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Hannah Feinman upon the occasion of her recognition by the Orange
County Interscholastic Athletic Association as a 2013 OCIAA Scholar
Athlete, and to wish her well in her future endeavors; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Hannah Feinman.
