LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Jeremy Guinan upon the occasion of his
selection as a Young Professional Up and Comer in the Business Community
by the SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT Special Edition

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and pay
tribute to those young adults within the great Empire State who have
made strong contributions to their communities and who serve as role
models for their peers; and
WHEREAS, Jeremy Guinan has given not only of his time and energies but
also of his competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently has
been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Jeremy Guinan upon the occasion of his selection as a Young Professional
Up and Comer in the Business Community by the SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT
Special Edition; and
WHEREAS, Jeremy Guinan, a genuine people person who makes it his job
to help others, has worked at Peck's Markets in Callicoon, New York, for
the last 23 years; and
WHEREAS, This exemplary young man began his prosperous career in the
market business in 1990, when he was just a freshman in high school; in
1995, he started closing the store, and one year later, was promoted to
grocery manager; in 2003, he rose to store manager where he is responsi-
ble for keeping track of orders, scheduling and handling personnel
matters; and
WHEREAS, Jeremy Guinan, who earned a Liberal Arts degree from SUNY
Sullivan in 1996, credits much of his success to the 300 hardworking
employees who work at Peck's Markets, which today has five locations;
and
WHEREAS, Jeremy Guinan has been elected to serve his second term on
the 7-person board of directors; throughout the years he was under the
luminous direction of Peck's Market President Lee Reimer, who serves as
Chair of the Board of Directors; and
WHEREAS, Throughout his career, Jeremy Guinan continues to bring new
ideas to Peck's Market; and
WHEREAS, With him throughout have been his wife, Marianne, and their
son, Brodan, both of whom feel privileged to be a part of his life and
rejoice in his achievements; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Jeremy Guinan upon the occasion of his selection as a Young
Professional Up and Comer in the Business Community; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Jeremy Guinan.
