LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Cathy Paty upon the occasion of her
selection as a Young Professional Up and Comer in the Business Community
by the SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT Special Edition

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and pay
tribute to those young adults within the great Empire State who have
made strong contributions to their communities and who serve as role
models for their peers; and
WHEREAS, Cathy Paty has given not only of her time and energies but
also of her competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently has
been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Cathy Paty upon the occasion of her selection as a Young Professional Up
and Comer in the Business Community by the SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT
Special Edition; and
WHEREAS, Cathy Paty, a life-long resident of Bethel, New York, has
served for over two years as the vice president of the Sullivan County
Chamber of Commerce, a networking group for small businesses in Sullivan
County; and
WHEREAS, The Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce is equipped with a
mobile office operated from an RV, which travels throughout Sullivan
County; and
WHEREAS, This valuable organization is a networking group for small
businesses in Sullivan County; when a small business is looking to start
up in Sullivan County, Cathy Paty and members of the Sullivan County
Chamber of Commerce help them to get in touch with small business coun-
selors; and
WHEREAS, A large component to Cathy Paty's role as vice president is
recruiting new small businesses; recently, she was instrumental in the
success of the Sports Expo at Villa Roma; and
WHEREAS, When she is not running the Sullivan County Chamber of
Commerce, Cathy Paty enjoys spending time with her daughter, Lila, and
is the lead singer in the rock and country band, Lucky House; and
WHEREAS, It is the practice of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Cathy Paty upon the occasion of her selection as a Young Profes-
sional Up and Comer in the Business Community; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Cathy Paty.
