LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Dr. Cyd Charrow, DSW, upon the occa-
sion of her retirement after many years of distinguished service to
Rockville Centre Department of Senior Services

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to acknowledge those
individuals whose professional lives and civic endeavors serve to
enhance the stature of the State of New York; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Dr. Cyd Charrow, DSW, upon the occasion of her retirement after many
years of distinguished service to Rockville Centre Department of Senior
Services to be celebrated with a Retirement Dinner on Friday, May 17,
2013, at the Sandel Senior Center, Rockville Centre, New York; and
WHEREAS, For the past 28 years, Dr. Cyd Charrow rendered faithful,
conscientious and valuable service to Rockville Centre Department of
Senior Services; and
WHEREAS, Under her luminous direction, Rockville Centre Department of
Senior Services has experienced tremendous growth and success; and
WHEREAS, During her tenure, Dr. Cyd Charrow has earned multiple awards
and recognitions for exemplary programming and her tireless work in the
promotion of "Vital Aging"; she embodies that concept as well, with a
life dedicated to health, exercise, continued educational pursuits and
self improvement; and
WHEREAS, In her capacity as Director, Dr. Cyd Charrow served with
loyalty, honor and distinction, was governed by a keen sense of duty and
always showed a unique grasp of human problems, earning the admiration,
esteem and affection of her colleagues; and
WHEREAS, It is the practice of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Dr. Cyd Charrow upon the occasion of her retirement after many
years of distinguished service to Rockville Centre Department of Senior
Services; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Dr. Cyd Charrow.
