LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating the 2013 Founder's Day Award
Winners upon the occasion of the Norman J. Levy Lakeside School PTA
Celebration on May 28, 2013

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, It is the practice of this Legislative Body to take note of
and publicly acknowledge individuals of remarkable integrity and charac-
ter whose endeavors have enhanced the quality of education in this great
State and whose professional lives, personal endeavors and community
service are an example and inspiration to their colleagues, friends, and
family; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late the 2013 Founder's Day Award Winners upon the occasion of the
Norman J. Levy Lakeside School PTA Founder's Day Celebration, to be held
on Tuesday, May 28, 2013; and
WHEREAS, The Norman J. Levy Lakeside School is an outstanding elemen-
tary school in the Merrick, New York, Union Free School District; and
WHEREAS, On Tuesday, May 28, 2013, the Norman J. Levy Lakeside School
will celebrate its annual Founder's Day by honoring worthy individuals
who have made outstanding contributions to the mission and success of
the school; and
WHEREAS, The 2013 Founder's Day Award Winners of the Norman J. Levy
Lakeside School PTA Founder's Day Celebration are: Margaret Raadsen-Co-
viello, Teacher; Janet Fernandez, Teacher; Barbra Klein, Parent; Libby
Trencheny, Principal; Sheryl Waters, Parent, PTA President; Michele
Walsh, Teaching Assistant; and Donna Woghin, Parent; and
WHEREAS, This auspicious occasion provides a unique opportunity for
this Legislative Body to recognize and pay tribute to the 2013 Founder's
Day Award Winners of the Norman J. Levy Lakeside School PTA Founder's
Day Celebration; and
WHEREAS, It is the practice of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their profession and community,
and have shown a long and sustained commitment to excellence, certainly
have earned the recognition and applause of all citizens of this great
Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate the 2013 Founder's Day Award Winners upon the occasion of
the Norman J. Levy Lakeside School PTA Celebration; and be it further
RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Margaret Raadsen-Coviello, Janet Fernandez, Barbra Klein,
Libby Trencheny, Sheryl Waters, Michele Walsh, and Donna Woghin.
