LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Sandra Dott, RN, upon the occasion of
her designation as the 2013 Nurse of Excellence by Our Lady of Mercy
Life Center

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to commend individuals
whose professional commitment and dedication enhance the excellence of
healthcare in their community and the great State of New York; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Sandra Dott, RN, upon the occasion of her designation as the 2013 Nurse
of Excellence by Our Lady of Mercy Life Center, to be celebrated at its
14th Annual "Celebration of Life" event on Tuesday, May 28, 2013; and
WHEREAS, Sandra Dott has worked on Our Lady of Mercy Life Center's
Lourdes Unit since 2004 as an RN charge nurse; prior to that, she worked
at St. Peter's Hospital and has been part of the St. Peter's family for
26 years; and
WHEREAS, Among Sandra Dott's many talents and skills is her tireless
ability to help others; she demonstrates kindness and compassion with
all the residents as well as their families; and
WHEREAS, Sandra Dott puts each resident first and truly listens to
what their concerns or needs are and will pursue an answer or solution
until she is satisfied that it is right for them; insistent on
perfection, she shows it to be evident in all her work; and
WHEREAS, Throughout her career, Sandra Dott has served her patients
with compassion and care; she has contributed to the maintenance and
enhancement of the highest professional standards, sharing with others
her knowledge and expertise, as well as her dedication and commitment to
quality healthcare; and
WHEREAS, It is the practice of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Sandra Dott, RN, upon the occasion of her designation as the 2013
Nurse of Excellence by Our Lady of Mercy Life Center; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Sandra Dott, RN.
