LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Donna Marohn upon the occasion of her
designation as the CNA of the Year by Our Lady of Mercy Life Center

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to commend individuals
whose professional commitment and dedication enhance the excellence of
healthcare in their community and the great State of New York; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Donna Marohn upon the occasion of her designation as the CNA of the Year
by Our Lady of Mercy Life Center, to be celebrated at its 14th Annual
"Celebration of Life" event on Tuesday, May 28, 2013; and
WHEREAS, Donna Marohn has been a CNA at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center
since 2008 and works on the Guadalupe Unit which is the memory/dementia
unit; her co-workers recognize her for her compassionate care and unend-
ing patience; and
WHEREAS, Donna has a special interest and talent for calming the most
challenging residents; she has a quiet, gentle approach and is able to
engage them in any activity or just sit by their side; she is a positive
self-starter and team player who is always willing to do what needs to
be done; and
WHEREAS, Throughout her career, Donna Marohn has served her patients
with compassion and care; she has contributed to the maintenance and
enhancement of the highest professional standards, sharing with others
her knowledge and expertise, as well as her dedication and commitment to
quality healthcare; and
WHEREAS, It is the practice of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Donna Marohn upon the occasion of her designation as the CNA of
the Year by Our Lady of Mercy Life Center; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Donna Marohn.
