LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Reverend Alerte B. Edouard upon the
occasion of his designation for special recognition by the Ambassador
For Christ International Outreach Ministry on September 1, 2013

WHEREAS, The character and richness of religious and community life in
this noble Empire State are nourished and fulfilled through the faithful
concern and selfless devotion of those who would commit their energies
and purpose to the ministry of others; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to bring full recog-
nition and just tribute to those individuals who distinguish themselves
and the ministry through their unremitting commitment and preeminence of
service; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Reverend
Alerte B. Edouard upon the occasion of his designation for special
recognition by the Ambassador For Christ International Outreach Ministry
at its 3rd Annual Pastors Appreciation Gala Dinner, to be held on
Sunday, September 1, 2013, at the Astoria World Manor, Astoria, New
York; and
WHEREAS, Reverend Alerte B. Edouard is being recognized for his dedi-
cated work within the Haitian and American communities; and
WHEREAS, In 1972, at the age of 32, Reverend Alerte B. Edouard
received his calling to the ministry; he attained a bachelor's degree in
theology at the School of the Bible in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti; and
WHEREAS, With support of his loving wife and children, in 1999, Rever-
end Alerte B. Edouard opened the Pentecostal Church of the Last Time in
St. Albans, New York; in addition, he seeks to develop an Outreach
Center to help the St. Albans, Queens Haitian and American Community;
and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when a person
of such noble aims and accomplishments is brought to our attention it is
appropriate to publicly and jubilantly proclaim and commend that indi-
vidual for the edification of others; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Reverend Alerte B. Edouard upon the occasion of his designation
for special recognition by the Ambassador For Christ International
Outreach Ministry, noting his unremitting and compassionate faith and
his exemplary service to God, man, and his community; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Reverend Alerte B. Edouard.
