LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Minister Ilioda Jacques upon the occa-
sion of her designation for special recognition by the Ambassador For
Christ International Outreach Ministry on September 1, 2013

WHEREAS, The character and richness of religious and community life in
this noble Empire State are nourished and fulfilled through the faithful
concern and selfless devotion of those who would commit their energies
and purpose to the ministry of others; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to bring full recog-
nition and just tribute to those individuals who distinguish themselves
and the ministry through their unremitting commitment and preeminence of
service; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Minister Ilio-
da Jacques upon the occasion of her designation for special recognition
by the Ambassador For Christ International Outreach Ministry at its 3rd
Annual Pastors Appreciation Gala Dinner, to be held on Sunday, September
1, 2013, at the Astoria World Manor, Astoria, New York; and
WHEREAS, Minister Ilioda Jacques is being recognized for her dedicated
work within the Haitian and American communities; and
WHEREAS, Minister Ilioda Jacques was born in Haiti and raised in West-
bury, New York, where she attended Old Westbury High School; she earned
an associate's degree in Business Administration/Marketing from Katha-
rine Gibbs School, and is currently pursuing a degree in Theology at
Bread of Life Bible College in Wyandanch, New York; and
WHEREAS, Since 2006, under the auspices of Reach Ministry Assembly in
Brooklyn, New York, Minister Ilioda Jacques has been serving the commu-
nity by reaching out to the homeless and needy, evangelizing to youth,
mentoring troubled teens, tutoring youth, praying with the sick in
hospitals, and seeking to be of use wherever possible; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when a person
of such noble aims and accomplishments is brought to our attention it is
appropriate to publicly and jubilantly proclaim and commend that indi-
vidual for the edification of others; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Minister Ilioda Jacques upon the occasion of her designation for
special recognition by the Ambassador For Christ International Outreach
Ministry at its 3rd Annual Pastors Appreciation Gala Dinner, on Septem-
ber 1, 2013, noting her unremitting and compassionate faith and her
exemplary service to God, man, and her community; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Minister Ilioda Jacques.
