LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Pastor Lionel Paul upon the occasion of
his designation for special recognition by the Ambassador For Christ
International Outreach Ministry on September 1, 2013

WHEREAS, The character and richness of religious and community life in
this noble Empire State are nourished and fulfilled through the faithful
concern and selfless devotion of those who would commit their energies
and purpose to the ministry of others; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to bring full recog-
nition and just tribute to those individuals who distinguish themselves
and the ministry through their unremitting commitment and preeminence of
service; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Pastor Lionel
Paul upon the occasion of his designation for special recognition by the
Ambassador For Christ International Outreach Ministry at its 3rd Annual
Pastors Appreciation Gala Dinner, to be held on Sunday, September 1,
2013, at the Astoria World Manor, Astoria, New York; and
WHEREAS, Pastor Lionel Paul is being recognized for his dedicated work
within the Haitian and the American communities; and
WHEREAS, Pastor Lionel Paul is a native of Fort Jacques, Haiti; Pastor
Paul began his ministry as an evangelist, sharing the gospel in cities
throughout Haiti; he was then called to pastor the Eglise de Dieu de
Fort Jacques where the Lord used him in mighty ways for thirteen years;
and
WHEREAS, In the latter part of 1985, Pastor Paul left Haiti for New
York; since 1997, he has been the Senior Pastor of La Pierre Angulaire
Church of God in Queens, New York; and
WHEREAS, Following the death of his first wife in 1993 after twenty
years of marriage, Pastor Paul met Precious Paul to whom he has been
happily married since 1997; together they are proud parents of a blended
family which includes five children; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when a person
of such noble aims and accomplishments is brought to our attention it is
appropriate to publicly and jubilantly proclaim and commend that indi-
vidual for the edification of others; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Pastor Lionel Paul upon the occasion of his designation for
special recognition by the Ambassador For Christ International Outreach
Ministry on September 1, 2013, noting his unremitting and compassionate
faith and his exemplary service to God, man, and his community; and be
it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Pastor Lionel Paul.
