LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Coccadotts Cake Shop upon the
occasion of being invited back to Hollywood for the taping of the eighth
season of the Food Network show "Cupcake Wars"

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize illustri-
ous establishments which have positively impacted and substantially
contributed to the vitality of their communities; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late Coccadotts Cake Shop upon the occasion of being invited back to
Hollywood for the taping of the eighth season of the Food Network show
"Cupcake Wars"; and
WHEREAS, Co-owners, Rachel Cocca-Dott and Matthew O'Connor have
appeared a second time on the popular show; the first appearance was in
2011 and the show pits four of the country's top bakers against one
another in three elimination rounds until only one cook stands; and
WHEREAS, The winner takes home a monetary prize along with the oppor-
tunity to showcase their cupcakes at the winning event; this year's
star-studded gig was a birthday party for "Cupcake Wars" guest judge
Tiffani Thiessen, star of "White Collar"," Beverly Hills 90210" and
"Saved by the Bell" actress; and
WHEREAS, On Sunday, April 28, 2013, Coccadotts Cake Shop, headquar-
tered at 1179 Central Avenue in Albany, New York, hosted three simul-
taneous viewing parties at Wolf's 1-11 on Wolf Road, the food court of
the Clifton Park Center, and at the Clarion Hotel located on 101 Fantasy
Harbour Boulevard in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; and
WHEREAS, Since 2007, Coccadotts Cake Shop has believed in "tasting
your dreams"; their staff has more than 30 years of combined bakery
experience, and takes great pride in making confectionary dreams come
true; many different types of cakes can be custom ordered and created
with more than a dozen cake flavors and unlimited different frosting
flavors and fillings; and
WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body acknowl-
edges the success and acclaim of this exceptional establishment and
recognizes the many contributions to the community it serves as well as
the local economy; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Coccadotts Cake Shop upon the occasion of being invited
back to Hollywood for the taping of the eighth season of the Food
Network show "Cupcake Wars"; and be it further
RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to co-owners, Rachel Cocca-Dott and Matthew O'Connor.
