LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Armando D'Accordo upon the occasion of
his designation as the recipient of the 2013 Professional of the Year
Award by the Merrick Chamber of Commerce on June 10, 2013

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend the leaders of commerce and industry whose accomplishments
contribute to the economic health and prosperity of the communities of
the State of New York and individuals whose purposeful endeavors, as
involved members of the community, enhance the quality of life therein;
and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern and fully in accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Armando D'Accordo upon the occasion of his designation as the recipient
of the 2013 Professional of the Year Award by the Merrick Chamber of
Commerce; and
WHEREAS, Armando D'Accordo, of CMIT Solutions, was recognized for his
dedication and service to the Merrick community at the Chamber's Annual
Merchant and Professional of the Year Dinner, which was held at the RS
Jones Restaurant, Merrick, New York, on Monday, June 10, 2013; and
WHEREAS, An individual who exceeds what is expected, and aims to give
his clients and community his best, Armando D'Accordo offers his custom-
ers at CMIT Solutions free recycling of computers, cell phones, toner,
batteries, and printers; and
WHEREAS, Armando D'Accordo has been called upon to contribute his time
and talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has always
given of himself unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, Leading charity work for the victims of superstorm Sandy,
Armando D'Accordo has also given pro bona speeches about internet safety
and identity theft, as well as initiated the new and very successful
Harvest Raffle which benefits the Kiwanis Club; in addition, he works
for the Merrick Chamber of Commerce; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Armando D'Accordo has stood constant
in dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by individuals
for the benefit of others which Armando D'Accordo has displayed through-
out his life; and
WHEREAS, It is the practice of this Legislative Body that when the
noble aims and accomplishments of individuals such as Armando D'Accordo
are brought to our attention it is appropriate to publicly proclaim and
commend them for the edification and emulation of others; now, there-
fore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Armando D'Accordo upon the occasion of his designation as the
recipient of the 2013 Professional of the Year Award by the Merrick
Chamber of Commerce on June 10, 2013; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Armando D'Accordo.
