LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Brianne Arthur upon the occasion
of her selection as a U.S. Lacrosse National High School All-American
girls lacrosse player

WHEREAS, Brianne Arthur, through her diligence and rigorous efforts, has
been named a U.S. Lacrosse National High School All-American girls
lacrosse player; and
WHEREAS, Brianne Arthur is a senior at Watertown High School who has
just completed her fifth season of varsity lacrosse; and
WHEREAS, Brianne Arthur competed in the Upstate New York Chapter of
U.S. Lacrosse; and
WHEREAS, Brianne Arthur completed her final high school season tied
for the Section 3 lead in goals with 74, and second in points with 110;
and
WHEREAS, This outstanding young woman led Watertown to the Frontier
League Title in 2013, and to the Section 3 finals for Class B lacrosse,
including a 14-13 double overtime semi-final win; and
WHEREAS, She also helped lead the Watertown Cyclones to sectional
titles in 2009 and 2010; and
WHEREAS, Brianne Arthur's perseverance in rising through the ranks of
high school lacrosse players is a strong indication of her ability to
master difficult tasks; her accomplishments will enable her to emerge as
a leader, fully equipped to meet the challenges of today's complex soci-
ety; and
WHEREAS, Brianne Arthur will attend Binghamton University in the Fall
of 2013, where she will play Division I lacrosse; and
WHEREAS, Brianne Arthur is a credit to her family, her school, her
community, her State and her Nation, and no doubt her future will be
filled with accomplishments of equal importance; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations, in
recognition of the significance of this meritorious achievement, to
congratulate and honor Brianne Arthur on the occasion of her selection
as a U.S. Lacrosse National High School All-American girls lacrosse
player; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Brianne Arthur.
