LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring The Reverend Rusheed Mohammed upon the
occasion of his designation for special recognition by the Ambassador
For Christ International Outreach Ministry on September 1, 2013

WHEREAS, The character and richness of religious and community life in
this noble Empire State are nourished and fulfilled through the faithful
concern and selfless devotion of those who would commit their energies
and purpose to the ministry of others; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to bring full recog-
nition and just tribute to those individuals who distinguish themselves
and the ministry through their unremitting commitment and preeminence of
service; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor The Reverend
Rusheed Mohammed upon the occasion of his designation for special recog-
nition by the Ambassador For Christ International Outreach Ministry at
its 3rd Annual Pastors Appreciation Gala Dinner, to be held on Sunday,
September 1, 2013, at the Astoria World Manor, Astoria, New York; and
WHEREAS, The Reverend Rusheed Mohammed is being recognized for his
dedicated work within the American, Indian, Trinidadian, Caribbean,
Spanish, and Haitian communities; and
WHEREAS, The Reverend Rusheed Mohammed was born on January 1, 1961, in
Trinidad and Tobago; early in his ministry, he began his Christian work
as an evangelist; in 1987, he was ordained as pastor at Miracle Taberna-
cle Ministries Trinidad; and
WHEREAS, The Reverend Rusheed Mohammed attained a bachelor diploma in
theology and Master's degree in Divinity from Everlasting Chip Ministry
University International of California; currently, he is pursuing a
Doctor degree in Divinity; and
WHEREAS, The founder and Senior Pastor of Greater Miracle Ministries
in Queens, New York, The Reverend Rusheed Mohammed is the author of THE
CACTUS HOW I SURVIVED; he is also the founder of the Health Evangelist
Awareness; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when a person
of such noble aims and accomplishments is brought to our attention it is
appropriate to publicly and jubilantly proclaim and commend that indi-
vidual for the edification of others; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor The Reverend Rusheed Mohammed upon the occasion of his designation
for special recognition by the Ambassador For Christ International
Outreach Ministry on September 1, 2013, noting his unremitting and
compassionate faith and his exemplary service to God, man, and his
community; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to The Reverend Rusheed Mohammed.
