LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Minister Antoine A. Asse upon the occa-
sion of his designation for special recognition by the Ambassador For
Christ International Outreach Ministry on September 1, 2013

WHEREAS, The character and richness of religious and community life in
this noble Empire State are nourished and fulfilled through the faithful
concern and selfless devotion of those who would commit their energies
and purpose to the ministry of others; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to bring full recog-
nition and just tribute to those individuals who distinguish themselves
and the ministry through their unremitting commitment and preeminence of
service; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Minister
Antoine A. Asse upon the occasion of his designation for special recog-
nition by the Ambassador For Christ International Outreach Ministry at
its 3rd Annual Pastors Appreciation Gala Dinner, to be held on Sunday,
September 1, 2013, at the Astoria World Manor, Astoria, New York; and
WHEREAS, Minister Antoine A. Asse is being recognized for his dedi-
cated work within the Haitian and the American communities; and
WHEREAS, Born November 28, 1951 in Gros-Morne, Haiti, Minister Antoine
A. Asse migrated to the United States in 1981; he joined the Church of
God in New York City, New York, and has been the minister and layman at
the church since 1983; and
WHEREAS, Minister Antoine A. Asse earned his degree in Mechanical
Engineering School of Port-au-Prince, Haiti and a Certificate in Reli-
gion; he is a former Fleet Supervisor for the New York City Vera Insti-
tute of Justice for the CASES Division Unit of the New York City Crimi-
nal Court Justice System; and
WHEREAS, Minister Antoine A. Asse has worked for the past 40 years
across the United States and the West Indies in several different minis-
terial and leadership capacities; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when a person
of such noble aims and accomplishments is brought to our attention it is
appropriate to publicly and jubilantly proclaim and commend that indi-
vidual for the edification of others; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Minister Antoine A. Asse upon the occasion of his designation for
special recognition by the Ambassador For Christ International Outreach
Ministry, noting his unremitting and compassionate faith and his exem-
plary service to God, man, and his community; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Minister Antoine A. Asse.
