LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending the Wadsworth Library upon the occa-
sion of being selected as the 2013 Rochester Regional Library Council's
Public Library of the Year

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across the great State
of New York is reflective of certain exemplary institutions whose
purpose is dedicated to serving the community and the needs of its citi-
zenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
the Wadsworth Library upon the occasion of being selected as the 2013
Rochester Regional Library Council's Public Library of the Year; and
WHEREAS, The Rochester Regional Library Council (RRLC) is a multi-type
library network serving libraries and library systems in the five-county
Rochester region of Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Wayne and Wyoming coun-
ties; and
WHEREAS, RRLC provides programs and services that enhance member
library cooperation, service delivery and resource sharing; it also
serves as a forum for the unified representation of library interests
helping members achieve together what could not be achieved separately;
and
WHEREAS, Through RRLC, its members can coordinate and relate their
diverse activities to create a more effective service network to improve
information access for the people of the Rochester region and beyond;
and
WHEREAS, Drawing individuals of all ages, the Wadsworth Library is
truly the center of Geneseo, New York; with both print and digital
books, materials from other libraries, and programs for children and
adults, Wadsworth Library sustains and improves the community every day;
and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when an insti-
tution of such noble aims and accomplishments is brought to our atten-
tion, it should be recognized and applauded by all the citizens of this
great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend the Wadsworth Library upon the occasion of being selected as the
2013 Rochester Regional Library Council's Public Library of the Year;
and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the Wadsworth Library.
