LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Kimberly Craft upon the occasion of her
designation as a recipient of a 2013 Mid-Hudson Athletic League Senior
Scholar Athlete Award

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to act, in accord with
its long-standing traditions, to honor the achievements of its young
citizens and leaders of tomorrow, whose character and accomplishments
exemplify the ideals and values cherished by this great State and
nation; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Kimberly Craft
upon the occasion of her designation as a recipient of a 2013 Mid-Hudson
Athletic League (MHAL) Senior Scholar Athlete Award; and
WHEREAS, Academically and athletically, Kimberly Craft has distin-
guished herself as a young woman of superlative ability, talent, and
maturity, establishing standards of excellence and achievement, purpose-
fulness of life, and responsibility rarely achieved in youthful years;
and
WHEREAS, Kimberly Craft, a student at Ellenville High School in Ellen-
ville, New York, is ranked 2nd in her class and plays soccer, basket-
ball, and softball; and
WHEREAS, She is Salutatorian of her class, a member of National Honor
Society, Key Club, and volunteers as an Elementary School tutor; she
plans to attend Union College, and major in Athletic Training; and
WHEREAS, An outstanding role model for her classmates, Kimberly Craft
has brought honor to her family, school, and community; and
WHEREAS, Kimberly Craft may stand with pride in her achievements,
experiencing the satisfaction of her labors and the joy of her accom-
plishments, eager to face the challenge of new experiences as she
continues her education; and
WHEREAS, Kimberly Craft represents the potential inherent in our most
precious resource, our youth; this Legislative Body is pleased to honor
this young woman, recognizing her achievements and the promise of her
future; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Kimberly Craft upon the occasion of her designation as recipient
of a 2013 Mid-Hudson Athletic League Senior Scholar Athlete Award, and
to wish her well in her future endeavors; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Kimberly Craft.
